Marcea Cazel

Marcea Cazel is a writer freelancing for Trips to Discover since 2021. Marcea went on her first international trip to Jamaica before she was one year old and has enjoyed the joys of traveling ever since. Having lived in Florida most of her life, Marcia understands the state is diverse in people and things to do. And while she does enjoy a theme park (Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is a favorite), she knows there are plenty of unique items for visitors to do in the Sunshine State that don’t involve rollercoasters and animatronics.

Lucky enough to have already experienced one of her dream trips to Havana, Cuba, Marcea also has heading to Vietnam and taking a European river cruise on her list of travel adventures to accomplish. Having worked as a Marketing Manager and Director for over 20 years, Marcea decided to combine her love for writing and travel and started her travel blog, My Cornacopia, in 2018.

Marcea’s work has appeared in TripSavvy, Samantha Brown’s Places to Love, and Tinybeans, and she has partnered with brands such as Princess Cruises, Visit Sarasota, Grand Velas Resorts, and Visit Music City Nashville. Marcea’s travel writing focuses on the southeastern United States, exploring the Caribbean, Black history, family travel, and cruising. Marcea has a Journalism degree with a track in Advertising/Public Relations from the University of Central Florida. While at UCF, she also minored in African American Studies.
