Having lived in Oregon and traveled up and down the coast many times, Lincoln City was one of my favorite destinations for a long weekend, with over seven miles of soft, sandy beaches. If you like crab, Siletz Bay is one of the best places for crabbing year-round. Newport is just a short drive away and home to plenty of fun things to do, including the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the state’s tallest lighthouse.

While the Looking Glass Inn doesn’t sit right on the beach, it’s right across the street in a great area for crabbing, and sea lions often hang out here too. The best rooms are the Whirlpool Suites which include ocean-view balconies, kitchenettes, and fluffy bathrobes.
